Will Lynam, a leader at Archetype, Inc., recently led a team of 5 people to Haiti this past summer.
In addition to working full-time at Archetype, Will serves as the International Director for a local non-profit called Ncompass. The focus of their recent trip was to address the economic and social needs of the community. The international committee that Will has helped form over the last year, is currently supporting a local orphanage in Haiti and starting the beginning stages of planning to build a community center. Will’s goal with the plan is to provide a place that keep bring the community together and provide opportunity for Haitians to better their lives.
Will attributes much of the success of the trip to the leadership principles and skills he has developed since working with Archetype. He stated that, “Working for Archetype has helped me to also focus on the solution and never the problem. Which in Haiti, can be very difficult when there are so many economical, political, and social issues that need to be addressed.” While in Haiti, he used his leadership skills to meet with local leaders and to plan for the building and structure of the community center and microfinance program.
Will has served in his role as the International Director for just over a year now. He was excited when he found out that Melissa White, President of Archetype, Inc., also had a strong belief in giving back to worthy causes. Melissa’s philanthropic attitude was one of the reason’s why Will was attracted to the position and opportunity to work for Archetype. He shares the common belief that it is important to give back to the less fortunate and to worthy causes. Will said that he is glad to have a chance to continue his work with Ncompass, while simultaneously advancing his career in the management and training program within Archetype, Inc.
